For the personal safety of operators during cleaning and maintenance, when performing maintenance on CNC lathe machining, we must cut off the power supply first, and then carry out cleaning and maintenance in accordance with the following steps. This is one of the reasons why CNC lathe machining has been widely used in the field of mechanical processing in recent years.

Generally, when maintaining CNC lathe machining, we will use lubricating oil. The lubricating oils suitable for CNC lathe machining maintenance generally include: pouring oil lubrication, splash oil lubrication, oil rope oil guide lubrication, marble oil cup lubrication, grease cup lubrication, oil pump oil delivery lubrication, etc. The parts in the main spindle box are lubricated by oil pump circulation or splash lubrication. The lubricating oil in the box is generally replaced once every three months. There is an oil window on the main spindle body. If it is found that there is no oil output in the oil window, it indicates that there is a fault in the oil pump oil delivery system. The machine should be stopped immediately to check the cause of oil cut-off, and the lathe can only be started after repair. For the gears and bearings in the feed box, in addition to splash lubrication with gears, there is an oil storage tank on the feed box that uses an oil rope for oil guide lubrication. The oil storage tank should be filled with oil once per shift. The intermediate gear shaft bearing of the change gear box is lubricated with a grease cup, once per shift. The bed guide rails and slide guide rails should be wiped clean and oiled with an oil gun before and after work.

CNC Lathe Machining

Now let's take a look at the seven steps of CNC lathe machining maintenance:

The first step of daily cleaning and maintenance for CNC lathe machining

After completing the machining task every day, cut off the power supply, and ensure that all surfaces, covers, guide rails, lead screws, and optical bars of the lathe are free of oil stains and iron chips, and the external surface of the lathe is clean.

The second step of daily cleaning and maintenance for CNC lathe machining

After completing the machining task every week, it is necessary to maintain the cleanliness and lubrication of the bed guide rail surface and the middle slide guide rail surface. Usually, when the CNC lathe has been running for 500 hours, primary maintenance is required. The maintenance work is mainly carried out by the operator, with the cooperation of maintenance personnel. Proceed in the following order and requirements:

First, carry out the maintenance of the main spindle:

1. Clean the oil filter to ensure there are no impurities;

2. Check whether the main spindle locking nut is loose and whether the set screws are tightened;

3. Adjust the gap between the brake and the clutch friction plate.

Second, the maintenance of the change gear box:

1. Clean the gears and shaft sleeves, and inject new grease into the oil cup;

2. Adjust the meshing gap of the gears;

3. Check whether the shaft sleeve has any shaking phenomenon.

The third step of daily cleaning and maintenance for CNC lathe machining

Maintenance of the slide and tool rest.

The fourth step of daily cleaning and maintenance for CNC lathe machining

Maintenance of the tailstock: Maintain the tailstock by wiping the external surface and adding oil for lubrication.

The fifth step of daily cleaning and maintenance for CNC lathe machining

Maintenance of the lubrication system:

1. Clean the cooling pump and oil filter;

2. Ensure the oil circuit is unobstructed;

3. Check the oil quality and keep it in good condition. (With the goal of ensuring the oil level indicator is clear)

The sixth step of daily cleaning and maintenance for CNC lathe machining

Maintenance of electrical appliances:

1. Clean the dust and debris on the motor and electrical box;

2. Ensure the electrical devices are fixed neatly.

The seventh step of daily cleaning and maintenance for CNC lathe machining

Maintenance of the external surface:

1. Clean the surface and cover of the CNC lathe to keep the internal and external surfaces clean, free of rust and oil stains;

2. Check and replenish all screws and handles. After cleaning and wiping, carry out necessary lubrication for each component.
