As we know by those who do CNC processing , tool fixtures are processing equipment, which is the general term for various tools used in the CNC processing and production process. It includes tools, fixtures, molds, inspection tools, auxiliary tools, fixtures, and fitter tools. , workstation equipment, etc. Its main meanings are as follows:
1. Tools: The tools used in mechanical manufacturing are basically used to cut metal materials, so the term 'tools' are generally understood as metal cutting tools;
2. Fixture: To put it bluntly, it is a device used to clamp workpieces (or guide tools);
3. Mold: a device used to determine the shape and size of the product;
4. Inspection tools: instruments used for production and inspection;
5. Auxiliary tools: usually refer to tools used to connect tools and machine tools;
6. Fixture: an appliance used for manufacturing. The word corresponds to a fixture. It is sometimes synonymous with a tool and sometimes also refers to a fixture. This term is often used in electronic companies such as Taiwanese-funded/Korean-funded/Japanese-funded electronics;
7. Fitting tool: the common name of various tools used in clamping work;
8. Workstation equipment: various equipment used to store production items or tools in workplaces or warehouses.
Tooling fixtures are just a general abbreviation. Tooling fixtures belong to tooling, and tooling includes fixtures, which belong to a subordinate relationship. So what role do fixture parts generally play? Let's watch it together
Function 1: Positioning device
The positioning elements and combinations of CNC machining fixtures are used to determine the position of the workpiece in the fixture. That is to say, through CNC machining, we can make the workpiece process at a position relative to the tool and cutting forming movement, such as supporting nails, Support plate, V-shaped block, positioning pin, etc.
Function 2: clamping device
The function of CNC machining fixture is to tighten the workpiece so that the position occupied by the workpiece will not be displaced due to external forces such as gravity, inertia and cutting forces, and at the same time prevent or reduce vibration. It is generally a clamping mechanism, including clamping elements (such as jaws, pressure plates, etc.), force-enhancing and driving devices (such as levers, threaded transmission pairs, oblique wedges, cams, etc.) and power devices (such as cylinders, oil cylinders, etc.).
Function 3: Knife-guiding device
Its function is to determine the relative position of the fixture and the tool, or to guide the tool processing, such as tool blocks, drilling sleeves, boring sleeves, etc.
Function 4: Other components and devices
According to the special functional requirements of tool fixtures, multiple tool sets such as indexer, tool ejector, loading and unloading device can also be set.
Function 5: Clip specific
Used to connect the various components and devices of the fixture into a whole, as a base component, and to the relevant parts of the machine tool to determine the relative position of the fixture to the machine tool.
