For the equipment of CNC machining centers , correct operation and maintenance are essential. Doing these tasks well can prevent normal wear and tear of the machine tool and avoid sudden equipment failures. So I will talk about how to maintain CNC machining center equipment.


First, let’s talk about the work that the relevant person in charge of maintenance needs to do:

1. The operator is responsible for the use, maintenance and basic maintenance of the equipment;

2. Equipment maintenance personnel are responsible for equipment maintenance and necessary maintenance;

3. The workshop manager is responsible for supervising the operators and equipment maintenance of the entire workshop.


Next, let’s take a look at the basic requirements for the use of CNC machining center equipment:

1. CNC equipment requires that places with moisture, excessive dust and corrosive gases be avoided;

2. Avoid direct sunlight and other heat radiation. Precision CNC equipment should be kept away from equipment with large vibrations, such as punching machines, forging equipment, etc.;

3. The operating temperature of the equipment must be controlled between 15 degrees and 35 degrees. The precision processing temperature must be controlled at around 20 degrees and the temperature fluctuations must be strictly controlled;

4. In order to avoid the influence of large power fluctuations (greater than plus or minus 10%) and possible instantaneous interference signals, CNC equipment generally uses dedicated line power supply (such as separate from the low-voltage distribution room for CNC machine tools) and adds voltage stabilization devices. All of which can reduce the impact of power supply quality and electrical interference.

5. After turning on the machine, you must preheat for about 10 minutes before processing; machines that are not used for a long time should extend the preheating time;

6. Check whether the oil circuit is unobstructed;

7. Before shutting down, place the workbench and saddle in the center position of the machine (moving the three-axis stroke to the middle position of each axis stroke);

8. Keep the machine tool dry and clean.

Finally, let’s take a look at the daily, weekly, monthly and semi-annual equipment maintenance methods of CNC machining centers:

About daily maintenance methods:

1. Clean and clean the dust and iron chips of the machine tool every day: including machine tool control panel, spindle taper hole, tool truck, cutting head and tapered handle, tool magazine cutter arm and cutting chamber, turret; XY axis sheet metal shield, machine tool Inner flexible hoses, tank chain devices, chip grooves, etc.;

2. Check the lubricating oil level to ensure the lubrication of the machine tool;

3. Check whether the coolant in the coolant tank is sufficient and if it is not enough, it will be added in time;

4. Check whether the air pressure is normal;

5. Check whether the air blowing of the conical hole in the spindle is normal, wipe the conical hole in the spindle with a clean cotton cloth, and spray light oil;

6. Clean the tool magazine knife arms and tools, especially the knife claws;

7. Check all signal lights to see if the abnormal alarm light is normal;

8. Check whether there is leakage in the oil pressure unit pipe;

9. Clean and clean the machine tool after daily work is completed;

10. Maintain the environment around the machine to be clean.


Regarding weekly maintenance methods:

1. Clean the air filter of the heat exchanger, the cooling pump, and the lubricating oil pump filter;

2. Check whether the tool pulling bolt is loose and whether the knife handle is clean;

3. Check whether the three-axis mechanical origin is offset;

4. Check whether the tool magazine tool change arm movement or the tool magazine tool plate rotation is smooth;

5. If there is an oil cooler, check the oil cooler oil. If it is below the scale, please add oil cooler oil in time;

6. Clean the impurities and moisture in the compressed gas, check the amount of oil in the oil mist separator, check whether the work of each solenoid valve is normal, and check the sealing in the pneumatic system, because the quality of the gas circuit system directly affects the replacement. Knife and lubrication system;

7. Prevent dust and dirt from entering the CNC device. There is usually oil mist, dust and even metal powder in the air in the machine workshop. Once they fall on the circuit board or electronic device in the CNC system, it is easy to cause the insulation resistance between components to drop, and even damage to components and circuit boards. .


Regarding monthly maintenance methods:

1. Check the lubrication of the shaft track, and the track surface must be well lubricated;

2. Check and clean the limit switch and bump blocks;

3. Check whether the oil in the punching tank oil cup is sufficient and if it is insufficient, it will be added in time;

4. Check whether the signs and warning plates on the machine are clear and exist.


Regarding the maintenance method every six months:

1. Remove the shaft anti-chip guard, clean the shaft oil pipe joint, ball lead screw, three-axis limit switch, and check whether it is normal. Check whether the scraping blades of each shaft are effective;

2. Check whether the servo motors and heads of each axis are operating normally and whether there is any abnormal sound;

3. Replace the oil in the oil of the oil in the tool magazine speed reduction mechanism;

4. Test the clearance of each shaft, and adjust the compensation amount if necessary;

5. Clean the dust in the electric box (make sure the machine is in a closed state);

6. Comprehensively check whether all contacts, connectors, sockets and switches are normal;

7. Check whether all buttons are sensitive or normal;

8. Check and adjust the mechanical level;

9. Clean the cutting water tank and replace the cutting fluid.
