The accuracy of CNC machine tools is a very important point for machine tools, and there are many factors that can affect the accuracy of the machine tool. People working in the CNC industry may have some questions, does temperature have an impact on the accuracy of precision CNC machining center machine tools?

Temperature is actually one of the factors that affect the accuracy of machine tools in precision CNC machining centers, which we can call thermal deformation.

The machine tool is affected by changes in the workshop ambient temperature, motor heating, mechanical motion friction heating, cutting heat and cooling medium, which will lead to uneven temperature rise in each part of the machine tool, resulting in changes in the morphological accuracy and processing accuracy of the machine tool. We can give a simple example. A 70mm×1650mm screw is processed on a CNC milling machine with ordinary precision. The milled workpieces are compared with the workpieces processed from 2:00-3:30 pm. The cumulative error changes up to 85m. Under constant temperature conditions, the error can be reduced to 40m, the same is true for other types of machine tools!
