Drilling is a basic method of hole processing, and it accounts for a large proportion in Dongguan CNC precision processing plants. The tools used for drilling are divided into shoulder drills and twist drills, which can process holes on solid materials.

The following problems often arise during drilling: the drill bit is easily biased, causing deviation of the hole axis and linearity error; the hole diameter is easily expanded; the hole wall is rough; and the axial force is large during drilling. So the drill bit


Generally, it can only be used to process holes with low accuracy requirements, or as rough processing of holes with high accuracy requirements. The general dimensional accuracy of drilling is T11 to T14, and the surface roughness is Ra60 to 12.5m.


In order to ensure the quality of processing, the following measures are adopted in the process:


(1) Process the end surface before drilling to ensure that the end surface is perpendicular to the drill bit to prevent deviation.


(2) When sharpening the tool, try to make the two main cutting edges of the drill bit symmetrical so that the radial cutting force generated by the two cutting edges is consistent.


(3) Dongguan CNC precision machining factory uses drilling molds as guide devices, which can reduce the deviation at the beginning of the drilling, especially drilling holes on beveled or curved surfaces.


(4) A smaller feed should be used when drilling small or deep holes.
